Welcome to the Parkwood Student Committee website. This website contains essential information about living in Parkwood and is regularly updated with news, events and general information about Parkwood. Your committee is managed by Kent Union.

The committee is made up of current and previous residents of Parkwood. To be on the committee you need to be elected by at least 80 people and elections are held on a yearly basis.

The committee deal with a wide range of issues affecting residents in Parkwood. Issues such as Education, Security, Welfare, and General Facilities are all discussed and appropriate actions are taken. The committee also organize a wide range of fun events throughout the year. The main venue for our organized events is usually Woody's Bar.

We work on behalf of every single resident of parkwood to represent you all and make Parkwood the best place to live on campus. Every elected officer is responsible for liasing with Kent Union and reporting back to the rest of the committee and residents at each weekly meeting.

Feel free to attend a meeting of you would like to become involved. These meetings are held every Tuesday at 7PM (during term time) in the "Reserved Area" of Woody's bar. Anyone is welcome to attend and bring forward ideas or issues that they may have.

In the near future we will aim to get deals with on-campus bars and entertainment venues for users of this website. This is likely to include printable drinks vouchers and up-to-the-minute event information and q-jumps. Keep checking back for more information to come very soon.
